Search results error.

Hi All,

I trust you are well. I have a problem with one of the websites I administer. When I search for it organically on Google, it displays the WP-Admin in the search results (See attached picture). Does anyone know a fix for this? Your help is appreciated.

  1. The link it’s showing is actually for your homepage, and last month, on the 13th Jun, your website was showing the default directory listing on your server (listing out /wp-admin, /wp-includes), due to there being no default index file. You should disable that feature in your webserver, as it is considered bad practice in terms of site security

As long as your website is functioning properly, it will correct itself the next time google indexes your site, or request a manual re-index via GSC.
