Seeking Advice for Overhauling a WordPress Site Using Divi Builder

[ad_1]

Hey everyone,

I’ve recently been tasked with redesigning my company’s website, which is built on WordPress using the Divi Builder theme. However, I’m feeling a bit overwhelmed and out of my depth. The site has been poorly managed by someone in marketing for several years, and I’m finding it challenging to navigate through the mess.

First off, I don’t have much experience with WordPress, and I’m finding it to be quite restrictive compared to building pages from scratch. I’m struggling to figure out where to start with this overhaul. Can anyone offer advice on the best approach?

One of my main concerns is figuring out which plugins are actively being used and which ones are outdated or unnecessary. Is there a way to determine if an active plugin is currently being utilized on the site?

Additionally, within the Divi Builder, is there a way to build components such as navigation bars, cards, or footers similar to React? I’m looking for ways to streamline the development process and create more dynamic components.

I’m also debating whether I should integrate CSS frameworks like TailwindCSS or Bootstrap with Divi. Has anyone had success with this approach?

Lastly, I’m struggling to find a suitable development environment where I can work on the site without affecting the live page. I’ve tried using Local, but it keeps giving me errors when I try to copy the site data into it. Our site is hosted on Blue Host, and while I’ve attempted to use their staging area, I’ve encountered issues when pushing changes from staging to live.

Any guidance or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance for your help!
