Self Hosted WordPress Speed Issue

[ad_1]

Hi everyone, I hope you are doing well. I’m using ‘oracle cloud free tier 4 core 24 gb ram’ and installed wordpress on cloudpanel (using subdomain). The problem is I can’t hit 100/100 on google page speed insight. Used so many plugins including “litespeed cache, wp rocket”, I can hit max 90 for desktop and 70 for mobile.
The website has one landing page.

I have a paid hosting which has litespeed cache support. I installed a different website there and just installed ‘litespeed cache’ plugin and it’s hitting 100/100 on both desktop and mobile.
The website has 5 pages.

My question is why I can’t hit 100/100 on oracle cloud vps? I understand it’s free tier but compared to my paid hosting I thought it will give me a monstrous performance. Because my paid hosting has only 1 core and 700 mb ram. I need your help. Thank you.

  1. The pagespeed report tells you what can be improved.

More server hardware won’t improve the speed of the page on the client. You need to fix the page specific issues like image size, use of JS, use of CSS, etc, etc. Check the report suggestions.

  2. The hosting infrastructure is but one part of a variety of ways to boost the performance of a site ranging from DNS, content delivery networks, compression, lazy loading, system fonts, deploying well-developed/designed themes plus plugins, minifying JS, CSS and more.

Identify the opportunities that the metrics generate and work through them one at at time.
