Semplice Portfolio Site

Hi all,

I’m currently working on making a new portfolio site. My current site uses Semplice installed onto WordPress. I also want to use Semplice for my new site.

For those of you who use Semplice, what do you find is the best way to build the new site while the old site is up?

Could I create a sub-domain and install Semplice a second time, build the new site, then replace the old with the new when the new one is ready?

Another idea I had was to simply build out the new pages as drafts using all the new styles (new fonts, colors, etc) and replace the current, published pages with the drafts. How feasible is that? Could it be done without interfering with my setting of my current site?

Any other ideas/thoughts? Thanks.

  1. Assuming “Semplice” is just a theme, then you can use either method to redo your site. The subdomain method is best if you want to do large scale/global-level changes to the site like the navigation, header, footer, fonts, colours, etc. if you’re just making content changes, then just create new pages.
