SEO benefits/drawbacks when converting WP site to a static site?

[ad_1]

I was thinking of building my website using WordPress because of it’s themes and plugins (SEO related like Yoast), but since it’s a static site, instead of paying $15-ish per month with something like BlueHost, I can host it for essentially free on GitHub Pages or Netlify.

Because of this, I was planning to use WP plugins like Simply Static or wp2static to convert my WP site to a static site and also increase loading speeds and security.

Question: WordPress is known to be SEO-friendly out of the box, and if I use SEO plugins like Yoast, would converting my WP site to a static site using wp2static or Simply Static affect my SEO (i.e. would it maintain and keep the benefits of the original plugins / SEO data)?

Note: I am aware that WordPress is not the best for SEO. I am simply using WordPress just for the SEO-friendliness, ease-of-use, and themes. I have also looked into Static Site Generators but a lot of the SEO has to be done manually.
