SEO Framework Schema – should I also add custom Schema for my small site?

[ad_1]

I run a small personal blog-type site (wordpress) that I add content to on occasion, with the plan of perhaps in the future making it a more authoritative site, selling courses on there, etc.

I’ve read that hand-made schema doesn’t really matter unless you are considered an ‘authoritative site” by google. Since I’m still a small site, would it be worth putting in hand-schema at the moment?

Or better to think about it down the line? Once I start getting more traction? (Don’t want to invest a lot of time into hand written schema if it’s not going to make a difference).

(or any good free wordpress plugins, besides TSF that could help me add good schema to my posts?)

Thanks in advance for any help.
