Hello,
Recently I attempted to use tagDiv (newspaper theme) mobile theme for better performance as far as AMP is concerned. Every time I tried, it resulted unfavourably which I reported the developers. The below is the response from tagDiv. Kindly guide if the same can be resolved with your kind help.
Communication from tagDiv
Such desktop/mobile inconsistencies are in all cases I’ve seen before caused by the caching configuration. When using dedicated mobile content, such as the mobiletheme we provide, the caching must support creating and serving two versions of the website, one for desktop and one for mobile. And in this case the Litespeed plugin is configured correctly – https://prnt.sc/7H4ITM0Jrhzl so the problem may not be caused by it.
I see you are using the redis cache. If that is the case, then the mobile theme may not work correctly. This cache as far as I know will cache the first version accessed after the cache is cleared. It can be the desktop version or the mobile version. And it will serve that version to everyone, regardless of how they are accessing the website. And I don’t think it is possible to configure this cache to support a mobile theme unfortunately. Maybe it can be done, but I don’t know how exactly. I searched a bit online, but so far I haven’t found information about it. From the theme there isn’t much we can do in such cases, it all depends on the caching type and its capabilities. If the caching cannot create and serve 2 separate caches (desktop/mobile) then they will get mixed up most likely. Which is what you are seeing when testing.
Thank You
