Set a name in the browser url

[ad_1]

Hello,

I made a local copy of my site via updraft and everything works. However, when I connect to **my local site** and ask WP to display my site, the url in chrome **changes from site.local/ to the real address of my site on the internet**. So I can’t see my local site because every time it shows me the real online site. Do you have an idea *how to fix this?*

PS: if I switch to private browsing, I can see my local site!

Thanks a lot!

  1. First thing I would check would be your wp_options table. Make sure the home and siteurl options are both set to your local URL and not the real address.

If that’s not the issue, your browser may have something cached that’s redirecting you (which might be why private mode works, as it ignores the browser cache).
