Set up error SMTP Brevo

Thanks for reaching out! The error indicates that you have an issue with your Brevo API key. When you access the SMTP & API section in Brevo (https://app.brevo.com/settings/keys/smtp), by default, it will load the SMTP section instead of the API section.

You need to switch over to the API Keys tab (screenshot) to generate a new API key.

Could you please update your API key under the WP Mail SMTP -> Settings page and see whether you can send a test email (WP Mail SMTP -> Tools).

Also, please make sure that you have already authenticated your domain by adding the required Brevo DNS records before sending emails. In case it helps, please refer to this step.

I generated a new API and put it in and saved it in WP Mail SMTP settings, but still seemed to have missed something. I’m getting the same error:
Anything else I can try?

WordPress: 6.6
WordPress MS: No
PHP: 8.2.21
WP Mail SMTP: 4.1.0

Params:
Mailer: sendinblue
Constants: No
API Key: Yes

Debug:
Email Source: WP Mail SMTP Mailer: Brevo unauthorized: Your request cannot be processed. Check your email or authorized IPs page in your Brevo account.

Scrub that. It is now working – Brevo was waiting for me to confirm that it was me updating the API from an ‘unusual’ IP address, which I’ve now done and it works fine.
