Share your WordPress website creation process and workflow

I’m curious what everyone’s IDEAL WordPress setup and workflow is – from how you setup your site to how you style it and make ongoing changes.

Don’t be a jerk and say “it depends” or “this is vague, you don’t know what you’re talking about”, just list out your own criteria if you think it’s important for understanding your preferred process and workflow. I’m just curious to see what tools, themes, plugins and workflows people prefer and why. If you think it’s helpful to mention the type of clients you work with please do.

(ex. one click install with host, right into picking a popular theme, and editing with a page builder vs setting up a local environment, making a custom theme, and configuring/styling inside wp dashboard).

Two scenarios:

#1. In an ideal world, what would be the most effecient way for YOU to setup a WordPress site and manage it day in and day out to YOUR liking? What themes, plugins, and applications or languages are you using?

#2. If you had to create a WordPress website for a client and hand the site over to the client for them to make copy/image edits themselves, what would you do differently for them that you wouldn’t do for yourself?

  1. I use GeneratePressPremium Elements, combined with GenerateBlocks to create a few “wireframe templates” for different case scenarios. Also, a few patterns and CSS files.

The most important advantage of this workflow is the possibility to push it to temporary domain at SiteGround, so client can see functionality (important) and design (adjustable) at live site.

Maybe it looks stupid, but it works for me.
