Should I add custom CSS changes to WordPress Additional CSS or into my theme’s Additional CSS section? (GUI)

I remember a couple of years ago when many people clamored for a simple way to add custom CSS. Now, a few years later, it’s simple but comes with a bit of confusion, at least for me.

Where is the best practice to add it? Should I add it to “Customize” or inside my theme’s CSS section?
