Updates and maintenance is extremely easy anyone should be able to learn it in a few days but if you don’t have time hire a WordPress or Shopify developer
If you’re going the Shopify route, you generally don’t need a dev, unless you want a custom theme. If I were you, and you aren’t super tight on cash, go with Shopify. WP+WC requires a lot of messing around, and if you aren’t technical, it can be painful.
