I have started my site 1.5 years ago and my intention was to upload as many articles as possible without looking at the UI/UX so much. I just picked a theme and moved on. Now since my site is getting traction I need to fix the UI/UX by hiring a designer to design and then a developer to create the site.
I am not sure how I should approach this
Apparently I will need someone who knows html for the visual aspect of the site and someone with backend development to create the technical aspects of it ??
This is just a blog site which needs some fine-tuning in terms of the visual and some custom made elements that are needed for the site.
Not sure how I should approach this? any help would much appreciated.
Please note that I am not into using page builders!

Probably my two cents of advice would be hire a UI UX team small agency or freelancer perhaps who is well versed with integrating with backend. They can help you literally happy with wow factors. If you need some one finish the job I can help also what kind of budget or hourly rate you have in mind. if you can share site link that would help to provide suggestions. Happy to help!
I would say all you need is someone to redesign the website as a one off until you want to update again in the future. Maybe provide you with a couple of different templates to use depending on what it’s for.
I know self promo is frowned upon, but I think I can help you here and prevent you from getting ripped off if you’re interested
