Hi – I’m trying to work out if something is possible (with the CPT Addon) prior to purchasing. I have read through the extensive documentation but can’t figure out if what I’m trying to achieve can be done.
My scenario is this.
I have a directory of c2000 training companies, and each offers a particular range of courses from a global set of possible courses.
Instead of each training company having a stored set of the courses they offer (which I currently have from a pre-defined dropdown list), what I’d like to add is a custom post type of ‘Course’, and then each of the training companies can be linked to one or many of the available courses.
From the documentation, I know this is possible using the CPT add-on, however specifically, I want to achieve the following:
A user searches for a course using the custom post type. When they open the course post type, all the details are provided (which would be part of the course post record), but they also get a map with all the training companies that can offer that specific course.
Reading the documentation, it seems that I could provide a list of the linked Training Company posts. What’s not clear is if I can provide a map view with pins for each training company, so the user can see where the training providers of that course are, and narrow down their search to training providers that are near them (or a location of their choosing).
