Show the Menu Toggle in this Element – not working

[ad_1]

I’m trying to place the menu toggle in the header navigation of my site. Either in the div wrapper, the nav wrapper, or maybe in the ul or a special li that I create for it… that all depends on how it looks once I get it working. However, at the moment, I cannot get it working.

When I leave the “MENU TOGGLE BUTTON POSITION” section blank, the menu appears in the bottom center of the page based on the “Button position (PRO feature)” option I selected. As soon as I put anything in the “MENU TOGGLE BUTTON POSITION” section the menu disappears. I have tried a number of different classes to try to get it to appear. I have tried the names of the classes with and without leading period (“main-navigation” and “.main-navigation”).

<div id="site-navigation-wrap" class="navbar-style-one wpex-dropdowns-caret hide-at-mm-breakpoint clr">

<nav id="site-navigation" class="navigation main-navigation clr" itemscope="itemscope" itemtype="http://schema.org/SiteNavigationElement" aria-label="Main menu">
 blah blah blah
</nav>
</div>

Are there limitations to where this can appear or something I need to do differently to position it?
