Currently using TranslatePress on a Woocommerce site for bilingual setup in Chinese and English.
In fact, I only need to manually translate like ~50 fixed strings.
TranslatePress works ok, but the way it works create bigger and bigger database tables, which I don’t quite like.
What alternatives would you suggest? Or shall I stick with TranslatePress?

You can use WPML. It’s an alternative to translate your WooCommerce store. I prefer their automated translations with free words as well. I followed [this guide on translating WooCommerce with WPML](https://www.wpbeginner.com/wp-tutorials/how-to-translate-your-woocommerce-store/#wpml) though it has TranslatePress method as well.
Check out PolyLang – I haven’t used it before but I see it mentioned in this sub a lot.
