Simple one-time auction for charity

[ad_1]

I do some voluntary webdevelopment/marketing for an NGO, and we’d like to organize a small auction during a christmas livestream event.

I’m looking for practical ways to set it up. Initially I figured I’d find a free wordpress plugin, put a simple shortcode on a page and get it done quickly, but that seems harder than expected. They essentially all require account registration (through wordpress users) and most are based on Woocommerce. They all have freemium or premium pricing and after trying to get 2 of them configured you basically need to pay to make it simple or simple doesn’t exist at all.

I’m starting to think doing some kind of simple form to put in bids, but then I would probably need to create custom post types for auctions and figure out a way to show the bids.

We don’t need payments, we don’t need registrations or verifications, we don’t need email followups. We’d need a way to simply create auctions with a picture and some text, a way to send in bids with an email or a phone number and a way to show the current bids to hype up the crowd a little.

Anyone has any suggestions or experience with getting this done in a simple way?Can be an auctionplugin, can be an abused form or can be external software that we can embed on our domein somewhere. Could be anything that I’m not thinking of.

Thanks devs!
