First off, I’m a new E-Pro user migrating my blog from Wix to WP. I’ve watched a TON of videos on creating Elementor templates for my Blog archive and Single Post pages.
I’ve successfully created both templates and verified they’re saved in Theme Builder. My imported blog content is being pulled into them.
The problem arises when I want to edit any of my posts. Sadly the WP import via XML file resulted in a bunch of formatting issues. Plus, I need to rebuild my affiliate marketing links in WP.
If I edit in WP mode I can clean up the formatting, but can’t find a way to fix all the links.
If I instead try t edit them in Elementor, once those changes are saved, Elementor OVERRIDES the single post template formatting. This wasn’t a thing in the tutorial I watched from 2022, but now something’s changed.
I’ve double-checked that the single post template was saved with the condition to apply to “all singular posts” but it’s still not applied after I edit a post with Elementor.
I’ve also noted that once I edit a post in Elementor, the post name is appended in WP with “-Elementor” following the post title.
Does anyone know how to fix this? Is there some setting I need to change to preserve single post template formatting? This is driving me nuts…
