Thanks for reaching out @yasiraliw. Based on the error message, it’s possible that Site Kit was setup on this site previously, but some of the site records gathered based on a previous setup don’t match your current configuration.
To determine more on this, and ensure your can complete setup, please share the following:
- Your Site Health information. You can use this form to share privately if preferred.
- Do you recall having changed your wp-admin path, your site URL or your WordPress files directory since initially setting up Site Kit? If so let me know what changes you may have made.
Once we have the above, we can advise on your next steps. Appreciate you also sharing the troubleshooting steps you already undertook.
1: I have submitted the required information by form. As you mentioned above
2: I am not sure about the 2nd question. But let me explain what I did. I simply changed the hosting plan. setup the domain at new hosting. after that uploaded the backup of site. after that tried to setup the Site Kit. but not succeed. I think site Directory will be changed due to hosting changed. but URL is the same.
Thanks for the update. Based on the site migration, and possible WP directory change, this may be the cause of the error you’re encountering, with your current site records not matching the previous setup. If migrating or changing your URL, WordPress directory or wp-admin path, it’s best to reset the plugin before performing such changes.
In order to try and get connected, don’t reset on the new hosting plan yet, as this may result in you current site remaining stuck. Instead, please follow the steps below:
- Visit your site settings (Settings > General)
- Change your site address (URL) and WordPress address (URL) from
to - Press the save button
- Attempt Site Kit setup once more after logging back into your site.
Let me know if you have any questions with the above.
Thanks alot. Problem resolved.
Glad to hear it @yasiraliw. Be sure to reach out if you have any further queries. If you have a moment free, please also consider sharing your thoughts on the plugin.
