So let me start this with I am not a PHP guy my original plan was to deploy to HTML and just ditch wordpress, that changed…. I converted my HTML to PHP but wordpress is still not loading my code and is stuck on the default page.
Full disclosure I haven’t done much with php and the little I did do with it was 10 years ago. Stumped at this point.
Other details include the previous. HTML files nor being recognized of PHP despite being .PHP and being listed as PHP in the Cpanel editor.
Site was AI generated and code is a cluster fuck. Can clean and reredo if necessary (I had my time span cut from a week to can you have it done in the next hour or two please don’t judge me to hard.)
Yes everything is in the publicHTML folder.

You have a very fundamental lack of understanding of how WordPress works, there’s really no way to say it. Nuke the entire thing snd install a fresh copy of WordPress. Just what exactly are you wanting to do with WordPress?
Edit: I’m going to bed but my best suggestion for you is to reinstall WordPress, log into the admin panel, go to Appearance and install Kadence or Blocksy theme. Learn about the Customizer and try to cobble together the site.
WordPress.org has documentation to look at to get started. Godspeed brother.
