SMTP Setup – Emails always hitting spam with Outlook only

[ad_1]

Hi,

I’ve been having a really weird issue with several of my clients, I have the DMARC, DKIM and SPF setup correctly within Cloudflare, I also score a 9.5/10 on mail-tester.com. (https://www.mail-tester.com/test-69ccn5k2l)

Emails I send directly from the inbox of [[email protected]](mailto:[email protected]) always hit the Junk folder when sending to an Outlook email address but always hit the inbox of all others. As well as this, all contact form submissions from the same address always hit the Outlook junk.

I’ve also set a standard HTML ‘Template’ for the contact form submissions, as I noticed they were hitting Gmail junk until I changed them from a standard plain text message. After that, they were hitting the Gmail inbox perfectly fine.

I really don’t know what else to try, I’m using WPMail SMTP, I’ve tried a different Mailers (SendGrid & Brevo) but still emails are always hitting the Junk folder.

Any recommendations?

Thanks

  1. Th IP could be poisoned. The domain could also be poisoned which is worst. There are so many black lists, you need to try several of them to see if the domain or ip are poisoned.
Are those clients trying to send a lot of spam ? Meaning unsolicited emails ? Or have they in the past ?
Could any of the content of the emails contain words that are trigger words to be banned ?
There are hundreds of words that will trigger for you to show up in the junk folder.
Or maybe they are shadow banned which is worst.
