I’m a graphic designer coming from Webflow. I’ve been lost in WordPress since I agreed to create this website in the first place. I pieced the wireframe together using Elementor Pro, and am moving into actual CMS content based on the client’s needs. This topic requires an entirely different post that I’ll dig into on another day, but briefly will say I’m not understanding WordPress’ workings compared to Webflow. I’m making a website for a travel baseball team and wanted to use CMS to populate player information, stats, etc. Despite my hail mary of a purchase, Elementor Pro has not helped me understand anything beyond basic web design principles, box-method, and responsive sites. As you can tell, I’m way over my head and am so tempted to take my L and suggest the client find a new (actual) web designer.
My last ditch effort is the good people of Reddit… I have such a list of questions and misunderstandings but I will start with this pivotal headache:
