Was looking through this template kindly given by u/Jambajamba90 here a month ago, and just had some questions:
I’m not very versed in legality when it comes to freelancing, so I’ll cut to the chase.
1. Do you need a company to have a contract? I know this sounds silly, but I don’t have an official business/company yet as this is just some freelance web dev work I’m doing on the side. After looking through the document and marking done a ton of changes I need to make, I was confused if I just put my name in the ‘company name’ spot.
2. Where does the signing take place? It states at the top that there are multiple periods in which the project needs to be signed, but I don’t see enough spaces for every time, only the adhering of the contract at the bottom.
3. Does the ‘project proposal’ refer to a wireframe I’m supposed to create? I understand that in general it just means the client presenting their idea to you, but I’m wondering where this process comes in if it’s even necessary
I understand that these are pretty silly questions and I intend to more fully understand the web development process before jumping in, but I have to start somewhere. Thank you.
