Spam/Junk Prevention in Form Fills

[ad_1]

We have an Elementor form on our website that was receiving a lot of spam. We installed CleanTalk, added a honeypot field, geo-restrictions, and used ReCaptcha. While the spam from bots has decreased a lot, we are still getting quite a few spam (maybe junk is the better word), from people accessing the contact us form from Facebook browsers or TikTok browsers. Is there anything that can be done to decrease this type of activity?

  1. No kidding. Is that how they get through the firewalls. Using those stupid Facebook browser wrappers? Not only do they monitor our every move but they allow for more crap. I didn’t realize that. And TikTok has a browser built in too? I love it when people say “I’m not giving out my personal information” – yes, yes you are….

  2. Cloudflare with bot and geo blocking. It’s free and works great! I usually geoblock or challenge Asia, Africa, South America and Tor Browser. Plus you could take advantage of all the other Cloudflare benefits. I use Elementor forms on my sites as well and this takes care of 99.99999% of spam.
