Speeding up my WP site – tweaks?

[ad_1]

Hi everybody,

I’m a casual WP user running a site at DreamHost using the shared plan for a personal project: [www.(dot)alzheimerstech(dot)com](http://www.(dot)alzheimerstech(dot)com) (making sure the spam filters don’t torpedo my post 😁). This site has zero commercial ambitions but I like speed nonetheless and it feels like mine could use a tweak or two.

Before I go on, please do not contact me for services & such. This is a zero-budget-ish project, am sure you understand. Am looking for a few pointers which can lend a quick hand.

Here is what I have going on RN which I suspect may affect performance and bits of information which could be useful:

* Theme: Crio Pro (comes with the BoldGrid tool via hosting plan)
* Caching plugin: W3 Total Cache (Another BoldGrid tool) and using the FSD CDN (free edition). Also turned on: page cache, minify, Opcode cache, Object cache, Browser cache, NetPerf CloudFlare is 5, lazy load images is on, fragmented cache = disk
* Imagify to reduce picture sizes

So my questions:

* Any plugins need a swap for something more efficient?
* I tried Cloudflare free but did not go well – is it because of FSD CDN? Connection issues were abundant
* Anything missing I should be adding or something I should discontinue doing?

Thanks in advance!
