SQL Databases vs panel exporting

[ad_1]

I want to move my WordPress sites (5) to a new host. I don’t need the themes or plugins. I only want my posts, pages, comments, and media. It seems the moment I decided to do this, my sites were all hacked, which seems to be a running theme with “the gator” hosting service, despite always making sure my sites, plug-ins, etc., are up to date.

For the past 2-3 years, I’ve noticed that any time my site lock subscription is ready to expire this happens. Coincidence or not, it’s time to leave for greener pastures. Can I use my sql databases to do this without bringing over the malware?

  1. Yes, you can just move the DB. Then go and get your themes and plugins from the source websites (e.g. WordPress.org), not your backups. Ensure you aren’t using any nulled or “free gpl” software, as they typically contain malware.
