Hi everyone,
I’m interested in pursuing a career as a WordPress developer freelancer in my country, where there is high demand for this skill. However, I have no prior experience in this field and am not sure where to start.
My main question is whether I need to learn PHP before diving into WordPress development. If so, how do I go about learning it and what resources do you recommend? And if not, what other skills and knowledge should I focus on?

You don’t really nees to know PHP to build WordPress sites. However to get more out of WordPress you will at least need to understand the basics which will then help you if you start working with WordPress hooks and functions.
the amount of php you need is very little, you just need to know its syntax and of course programming logic.
