Hi guys
To provide some context: my one-man company is based around cat behaviour consultations together with a Woocommerce store all on the same domain. I’ve been thinking about redesigning and making the shopping a more user friendly experience. The informative part explaining my services are static pages. Perhaps a blog/articles section will be added as well but that’s not a priority. The current site was made in Divi and in hindsight that was a poor choice, but it was made before block based WordPress was even a thing.
I have a feeling my database is quite cluttered trying out plugings and several staging sites. Would it be better to just start over, instead of a redesign? The page URLS should remain the same for SEO value I assume. Is this a smart thing to do or am I going to make things more complicated than they already seem to be (from my point of view)?
I’ve been postponing this task simply out of fear to mess shit up even though the site is starting to feel outdated.
Also, what’s a good future proof way to go about things? Choosing a solid theme like Kadency or Blocksy that’s catered to e-commerce? Or rather use GeneratePress? Or rather go full FSE even though it’s not quite there yet.
If needed, this is the URL: www.dekatviseur.be
