sticky menu | WordPress.org

Hi there,

We found a very helpful video, which should help you to achieve that. We just tried it on our testing site and it worked for us! Just disable “Inner blocks use content width” for the group block and set a white background for it.
Let us know if that helps.

Best regards,

Shufflehound team

hey shufflehound,

thanks for the fast reply. out of the box this does not work here. i am using wordpress 6.2 and php 8.2

i disabled the inner group content width and set background, but no sticky.
also i noticed if i set a background color it increases the height of the header. that would not be a problem if i get stickyness. but somehow it did not work (i went to backend > website editor > template parts > header).
thanks and all my best

It seems that you will need to do this inside the Templates > Front page instead of the header itself (that is how WordPress has impended this). About the padding just set it to 0 in the group block options.

ah thats funny, works for the start page now. but how to make it work on the other pages (about, ….)?

Great!

For other pages, you will need to adjust the Page and Page (without title) templates (located in the same place where you adjusted the front page).

thanks, i grouped the header and set it up – worked like a charm.

We are glad that you got it working!
