I have purchased and used the following plug-ins for more than 5 years now – PublishPress Series, Organize Series Addon: Multiples and Organize Series Grouping. Have been delighted until the latest updates.
Previously, I could insert a new post in an article series and put it in as e.g. post no 15 of 35 posts. When I indicated that this was post no. 15, the article numbers for all the other posts in the series were updated automatically. Now this no longer happens. If I insert a new post no. 15 out of 35 posts, I now have to manually go in and change the numbering of the posts on the 20 posts that come after the new post. This is extremely cumbersome when you have dozens of posts in each article series.
Today I installed their latest version hoping that the above issue was resolved. Before I had time to check this out, a new and even more serious problem arose.
When I previously wrote a new post, I got all the series categories in the left sidebar in alphabetical order. Now the list of series is presented in a random order instead of in an alphabetical list. I have over 3000 posts which are divided into over 300 series. When I write a new post, it becomes completely impossible for me to find the series the article should be placed in when I am not presented with the list in alphabetical order. If there had been a search option, this would have solved the problem, but today there is no such search option for series. I HAVE TO ASK YOU IN THE BEST WAY TO PUT BACK THE ALPHABETICAL LIST OF THE SERIES! If I lose this opportunity, I will have to stop using this plug-in that I have become so fond of.
Please also change the algorithm to also automatically update the numbering of the posts in a series when a new post is inserted or an existing post gets a new position (as you had it before).
