I regularly read a WordPress blog that requires a WordPress login for comments. Trying to comment, I entered my WordPress account and am told I’m not a registered user! I was using Safari for iPad (latest iPadOS/iOS version) but it was strange. I can’t figure out how to work around it. Any ideas? I can’t be the first user who has run into this. Note: the blog shows other comments and has been around for years. WordPress help was helpless.

I should note it didn’t work on Brave either, and I have no blockers, etc. installed on Brave.
If you have a WordPress login for your own site (using the open-source software from [WordPress.org](https://WordPRess.org)) and the site you want to comment on is hosted on [WordPress.com]) (or is using something like IntenseDebate that uses [WP.com]) logins), then your login from your own site will not work. You’d need a [WordPress.com]) account, which is easy enough to set up.
