As the title states, would appreciate input on pricing. Specifically, is there a pricing matrix people use and wouldn’t mind sharing? I know it’s always different. Some price by the company’s revenue or size, for example.
I have years of experience with frontend dev but trying to do my own thing and a client needed WordPress which I haven’t used in a very long time. Previously, I worked as a SWE for a tech company for a good while so struggling to price myself as a contractor.
For example, what would be the range for something like this:
\- Full audit of existing sites: a11y, security, UI/UX, branding, etc.
\- Pages: Home, About, Contact, ToS, Privacy, Blog
\- Template setup. Creating multiple different types of templates for their content
\- All copies (text)
\- Design system lite. Specific typography, color, and branding guide
\- Fully a11y
\- Hosting setup
\- Security
\- Mailchimp integration
\- Training on how to use WordPress
\- 1-year maintenance plan
\- SEO support, including a 1-year plan
\- No content or assets (they have those)
I am worried about plugins. I just read about Elementors hack. Trying to keep the plugins to the bare minimum:
\- RankMath
\- WPForms (Still deciding on this vs. GravityForms vs. building my own since its a simple one)
\- WP Super Cache (leaning towards Hostinger and they seem to provide caching, may not need this)
\- Wordfence
I am very comfortable with code so was going to build a few small things that a lot of people use plugins for. Is this overkill?
Anyway, I have watched a ton of videos and read a lot of blogs on the topic and the pricing is all over the place. Would really appreciate anyone in the US, specifically CA or similar, that could chime in. I am looking to build a pricing matrix from this job so I have a better place to start for the next one.
Thanks!
