As you have added sub-pages in the parent page, it is obvious that it will not work with a different path. (i.e. yourdomain.in/admissions)
And if it was working properly previously, it was wrong as there were duplicate pages of the same content, which is bad for SEO.
All in all, currently the page delivering a 404 error without the parent page is perfectly working and you should not make any changes in that.
