Suddenly Google font not loading in editor only?

[ad_1]

This just happened overnight — the block editor (theme is twenty twenty three on WordPress 6.5.3) went from loading the Roboto font to screwing up the design entirely. It still renders fine both in the live site, and in the appearance editor.

[This is the text on the front end](https://www.turnandwork.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/05/Screenshot-2024-05-09-at-3.04.39 PM.png) looking like proper Roboto

[This is how it looks in the block editor](https://www.turnandwork.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/05/Screenshot-2024-05-09-at-3.04.33 PM.png). The header text is fine but the body text just reverts to the default sans serif.

I’ve cleared the WP cache, I’ve tried different browsers, everything. I’m reticent to mess with the styles, so I figured I’d see if there were any ideas here first.

…any ideas?

  1. I’m using the same theme and have the same issue. It all started with the previous “security” update so I just accepted it as inevitable.
