Suggestion needed: which forum software?

Hi everyone I’m looking for suggestions on which forum software to use to create and engage a community for my (Italian) two wp websites focusing on videogames cinema and hardware, the first one, and VR and Augmented reality the second one.

I was evaluating “invision” as suggested from a friend but I don’t know if it’s worth to start with an expensive products like this (150€ for “core” + 150€ for “forums”plus 45€ for renewal every 6 months) for a small community.

So I’m looking for alternatives. Do you guys have any suggestions ?
