I’m rebuilding an entire subscription-based site for a client in WordPress, and using Paid Memberships Pro on the new site (same domain). There are currently just six paying subscribers, who pay a decent amount a month (or year), being billed via Stripe, and I obv need to ensure their billing moves over when I move the six accounts.
I’m entirely unclear, though, on how to ensure their billing plan moves over with their account.
I’ve transferred their memberships, and can see their accounts in Stripe, but — possibly because I’m not familiar with Laravel — I can’t find a connection between their existing accounts on the old site with their Stripe bills. Is it possible their billing plans are managed directly within Stripe? And if so, any suggestions on how to link their new PMP accounts to their Stripe bills, without paying several hundred dollars to upgrade my PMP plan?
My teensy fear is that after the move, if a current user cancels their account, they keep getting billed (but with only six customers, Customer Support can also manage that). My big fear is that when I switch to the new WordPress build, all their billing plans get cancelled overnight.
