I can’t believe I cannot find a plug-in that has been created for this problem…
I will get a botnet attack or something in the early hours of my time zone that will be using different usernames that seem like guesses from all different IPs – up to 50 of them may occur in the course of five minutes.
I see many plug-ins that will track an IP with failed login attempts over a certain period and block that specific IP, but I need a solution that will consider all login attempts that fail no matter what the IP address is but within a certain amount of time. And if that is triggered, then login is totally suspended for a variable amount of time set by the admin.
