Hi,
I’m currently working on several projects in wp. However, I don’t want to pay for a server for every project. The projects are often quite small.
I want to work on a project for some time (like on a staging environment), and have the freedom to release it with its own domain ones finished or ready.
I’ve already thought about just switching the projects WP folder from my drive onto the server and do this every time I want to switch projects. Would this be possible?
If not, I was also looking into Multisites, but I’ve read that exporting this to a single site is quite tricky.
Any suggestion?

Buy a $10pm server hosting at Linode or Digital Ocean. You can put a dozen+ on one of those.
Don’t use multisite – you can only use one theme across all site and yes, it’s difficult to break up the sites.
