Switching from Google XML Sitemap Plugin to SEO Framework

[ad_1]

Hello!

I don’t recommend using other sitemap plugins in combination with TSF.

TSF creates an optimized sitemap, but if you disable it, TSF enhances the one that ships with WordPress by default. Any other sitemap plugin will cause errors in Google Search Console because TSF won’t filter out pages that aren’t indexable (redirected, noindex, etc.).

So, option 1. is fine.

Doing nothing is fine, too. Nothing bad will happen: sitemaps exist only for fast (re)indexing, not for ranking.

Thank you for your reply Sybre.
So basically, I will delete the Google XML Sitemap plugin and delete the Sitemap URL from GSC.

Then I will install TSF and re-add the sitemap URL to GSC.

Am I right?
Thanks in advance.
