I’ve been running my food blog on squarespace for the last 6 months or so but am going to be moving over to self hosted using WordPress very soon.
I have around 50 posts but will be rewriting them for my new website (as appose to importing from squarespace) to include recipe cards & more keywords, etc…
When it comes to the urls, how would I go about redirecting from my old posts to the new ones?
Some of my posts have been ranking on the first page of Google search so hopefully this won’t affect this too much. Is this possible or should I expect a dip in traffic?

On WP get a redirection plugin, or write htaccess rules
I recommend to research and plan your migration strategy to avoid ranking losses.
Assuming you’re keeping the same domain and URLs, there should not be any change in traffic (also assuming your website is performing as well as it did on SS). If you need to use 301 redirects, they can be done with a plugin called Redirection. That way your SEO ranking will be preserved.
FWIW it’s pretty simple to export your SS posts into WP.
edit: also, if you aren’t already, get setup in GSC so you can monitor your traffic before/after the changeover.
Why the switch? Who advised you to do this?
