TablePress Table Breaking Out of Primary Content Container

[ad_1]

Hi,

thanks for your post, and sorry for the trouble.

Do you mean table 721 just below the “Sorso vs. Brita vs. PUR vs. ZeroWater (& 7 Other Popular Brands)” heading?
It doesn’t seem that you have chosen a responsiveness mode for that table and added it to the Shortcode?

Tobias

Correct, table 721.

Perhaps it was a caching issue? I’ve cleared the cache just in case.

But I do see the appropriate responsive mode within the shortcode and it shows up within the HTML.

[table id=721 responsive=flip responsive_breakpoint=tablet /]

This is the HTML I’m seeing in Incognito mode:

<table id=”tablepress-721″ class=”tablepress tablepress-id-721 tablepress-responsive tablepress-responsive-tablet”>

Hi,

ah, my bad, I had somehow overlooked that CSS class.

Well, that is actually working. Once I make the browser window more narrow (as e.g. on a phone or tablet), the flip mode is applied. Your table is however too wide already on desktops. Thus, it likely makes sense to use desktop, or even all, as the value for the responsive_breakpoint Shortcode parameter.

Tobias

Gotcha.

I changed it to “all” and it’s no longer breaking the container.

Perhaps I just imagined it but I would have sworn I’ve had larger tables in the past not break the container like this.

In any case, it’s fixed now so that’s all that matters.

Thanks so much for your help. Much appreciated!
