Tabstop-like typesetting?

[ad_1]

In a block widget I need to have this appearance:

Opening times
Weekdays: 9am – 12pm
2pm – 6pm
Weekends and public holidays: 8am – 12pm
2pm – 5pm

But using standard fonts – not monospaced. This can be done with CSS styling and spans of given width. But I can’t get this to work either with html in a block, or in the “Custom HTML” block, which doesn’t recognise styles. I’m using Blocksy, and I’m hoping these will go into a footer widget. But the only way I can get anything close to this is by using HTML tables, which require further work to completely hide the borders. How can I use CSS styling in a widget block? Many thanks!
