My boss a small new business bought a site from a design company about six months. After the initial launch of the site, they were unresponsive about any new requirements or adjustments needed. He managed to get the login for the admin page but knows nothing about wp and asked me to update it. I have some expreince with web dev in “MERN” but absolutely nothing in wordpress. In preparation, I read read a bunch about using wordpress but it seems what applies normally doesn’t apply with this site.
Having said that I could be completely wrong but I think that everything is everything is accomplished by the custom theme the company developed for the site and they only left the ability to change and add the content of the site. Any appearance based stuff is directly in the themes code(?) I can’t even edit the theme in
My question is: should sit here and figure out what this company did to accomplish this look or convince my boss to start from scratch?
