Hello, I work on a sport club (fencing one) and we have a website.
Sometimes (rarely I’d say), when we click on the link to visit our website, there is an ad loading and we need to go back then click again in the url to go on our website.
It is very annoying and I don’t know what to do, from where and from what its coming from and I want to get rid off that. We didn’t have any ads on it until one or two month ago (the website is up since 2019 i think). I don’t want anyone to get a virus or something because off that.
To this day, I’ve seen 3 types of ads (sorted from most commun to less commun)
* one directing to the google playstore to download tinder
* one to a very suspicious website with a robot and stuff about downloads or cookies i don’t remember.
* one to a weird website to buy iphones

That means your site has been compromised. You need to remove whatever malware is in it and fix whatever vulnerability let it happen in the first place.
You’re infected. Sometimes the hack involves reading the visitor’s referrer and if from google will display the ads. This is stealth mode from the site owner who isn’t expected to access the site from google.
