There would be advantages if they switch to Laravel Livewire:
1. a PHP code that will not need maintenance. (since the laravel community maintains it).
2. It would be a better code and with better advantages to develop in quality plugins and with less code.
3. The WordPress community would only be dedicated to improving the development environment with wp-cli to generate codes or crud super fast.
4. And they would have more time for Gutenberg.
