Hi @startechmarketing,
If you’re already using a dedicated plugin to locally serve Google Fonts, but still wish to let Complianz block known Google Fonts sources on your website as well (even though you already have a plugin enabled to handle this):
- Enable Google Fonts as a service under Complianz > Wizard > Consent > Services
- At the question that now appears under it, “Will you self-host Google Fonts?”, answer No. This will let Complianz block known Google Fonts sources on your website.
Kind regards, Jarno
Ok thanks I do it, he says something about a printer loading this is strange do you see it ?
ok but we are in Germany we must host google fonts locally and you give a warning when I say no
Hi @startechmarketing,
I would recommend asking the user to clarify what they meant exactly with that comment about the printer, not sure what it refers to.
Answering “Will you self-host Google Fonts?” in the Complianz Wizard will result in known Google Fonts sources being blocked, as per the requirements.
Kind regards, Jarno
Ok, thanks I asked him about the printer
But we serve all google fonts locally – so then it is not required if we serve them locally we had a threat from a lawyer for not loading them locally so now they are and we comply. We can check at this link: https://www.e-recht24.de/google-fonts-scanner
so your saying I must check no on the second question even though there is a warning not to ?
Hi @startechmarketing,
The “Rubik” font on your website is currently still being loaded from the Google Fonts API, so it doesn’t seem that all of your fonts are served locally yet.
If you want Complianz to start blocking Google Fonts on your site, you will indeed have to answer the question “Will you self-host Google Fonts?” with No.
Kind regards, Jarno
ok I use your OMGF plugin, but i guess it does not work.
Hi @startechmarketing,
Please note that OMGF is not developed by us, our article mainly refers to this plugin as a useful tool to locally serve Google Fonts.
