Thumbnails are not getting generated for AVIF images.

Hello,

I have updated to the latest WP 6.5 version which includes a AVIF support:

I have check my server whether it support AVIF:

It all looks good however, the thumbnails are not getting generated for some reason:

They are getting generated for webp and png as per the above image but not for avif. From what I have read here:

There is not extra step for uploading AVIF images so I simply assume that the thumbnails should get generated for AVIF same as for the other image formats. Here are my media settings:
