We have a BuddyPress members directory that I’m adapting to work with Relevanssi search (currently only on our staging site). I think we have a premium license but the support form isn’t appearing on your site for me, so I’m asking the question here.
I’m implementing this by creating posts for user profiles (we also do this for BP groups). It works well, except for relevance ordering. Content weighting is set to 1, title weighting to 5. But when I search for a particular term, items with the term in the content but not the title are appearing above items with the term in the title.
I’ve spent a while looking at this and can’t find anything I can try to adjust this. I guess I could increase the title weighting, but 1 vs. 5 seems pretty clear – shouldn’t this be enough? I’d appreciate any help.
