translate to German with loco translate

Did some testing and got it working by setting the translation location to languages/plugins/seatreg-et.po (there is relocate tab where you can change it).
After that I can see translations. Can you try and check if it helps for you?

Sorry, I tried this before, but it seems I didn’t do it correctly… Just a last question: Updating the plugin will remove the translations, correct? So I must keep a copy of the .po/.mo files and replace them again after updating the plugin –  in the same path (languages/plugins/), correct?

Updating SeatReg should not remove those files as far as I know. But better be safe and keep the copy of the translations.
The best solution would be to rely translations taken from
Sadly we need someone who has access to approve German translations.
