Translating with React based site

I’m in charge of making edits to this companies website and whoever built it decided to make it with React.js, so all the plugins were made by the original developer. This company wants the ability to choose different languages and have their content be translated. I thought this would be easy because I could just download a plugin and drop it into the header, but I cannot. Can I only make this work if I download some react package that translates and add it into the jsx pages?
